Free One-on-One Financial Coaching

Boulder County's Financial Counseling Program provides free, one-on-one financial counseling by trained professionals to residents of all income levels in Boulder, Longmont, Lyons, Lafayette and Nederland by integrating counseling into the delivery of municipal services. These centers offer free, unbiased, one-on-one, professional financial counseling in English and Spanish. The Centers are designed to help you:

  • Take control of your debt
  • Deal with debt collectors
  • Improve your credit
  • Build savings
  • Create a budget
  • Find safe and affordable financial products
  • And other services based on your specific needs

FDIC Money Smart - A Financial Education Program. The newly enhanced Money Smart Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) is an easy-to-use tool to learn more about basic personal financial management.The CBI features a game-based learning design and separate learning tracks for adults and young adults. The adult learning track features the 11 modules in the instructor-led Money Smart curriculum for adults. The young adult learning track (for those age 13 and older) features the eight modules in the Money Smart for Young Adults curriculum.

Education Cents is a free personal financial education program offering an online curriculum, workbooks, presentations, a train-the-trainer program and other tools. As a program of CollegeInvestand the Department of Higher Education, Education Cents has a special focus on the value of education after high school and making wise decisions about financing higher education.
