Boulder County can help you and your family enroll in health insurance.
Colorado Medicaid is public health insurance coverage for children, families, pregnant women, adults, the elderly and people with disabilities. There are several different Medicaid programs. When you apply for Medicaid your eligibility will be determined based on the information you put in your application. You will be asked to report your age, tax filing status, family size, income, and other information on the application to ensure you are enrolled in the program that best meets your needs. Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) is a low-cost health insurance program for uninsured Colorado children ages 18 and under whose families earn too much to qualify for Medicaid. Medicaid and CHP+ are free or low-cost comprehensive health insurance plans with no monthly premiums.
Boulder County Healthy Kids & Adults can assist you or your family in enrolling in Medicaid or CHP+ and the Healthy Communities team can provide information and assistance in using your Medicaid or CHP+ benefits.
If you or your family do not qualify for Medicaid or CHP+ due to your income or citizenship status, the Boulder County Assistance Site can assist you in enrolling in Connect for Health Colorado, a health insurance marketplace where people can shop for health insurance and access tax credits to reduce monthly premiums. Boulder County is a Certified Connect for Health Colorado Assistance site and has trained Health Coverage guides to help residents enroll in Connect for Health Colorado health insurance.
